Research Paper: A Comparison between the National Anthem of the Pre and Post Soviet Revolution Russia

This paper compares “God Save the Tsar”, the national anthem of the Russian Empire, and “Unbreakable Union”, the national anthem of the Soviet Union since 1943. I will compare the history, structure, lyrics, and political ideals reflected through the anthems to show that the fundamental political structure has not changed since the Soviet Revolution.

Although this paper is not directly related to my overall theme of nature, it is connected to my definitions of Humanities and revolution. As I said in my revolution definition, I don’t consider the Soviet Revolution as a “real” revolution and the paper explains why. The paper also studies the political structure of Russia in details. Since I defined “Humanities” as the study of human development and includes political science, this paper is very appropriate for my final research in a Humanities class and have provided me with new insight on the politics and culture of Russia.
